Polycythemia Vera is a hematopoietic stem cell disease, characterized by sustained and excessive proliferation of erythrocytic, granurocytic and megakaryocytic cells in the bone marrow resulting in apncytosis in peripheral blood. Patent with
Polycytopenia Vera usually present with symptoms referable to an expanded blood volume. We experienced a patient who presented with headache, dizziness, and syncopal attack coexistion with renal symptoms, as hematuria, proteinuria, and
generalized
edema. We confirmed this patient to Polycythemia Vera by Polycythemia Vera Study Group criteria and IgA nephropathy by renal biopsy . No other reports have been seen in the literature on Polycythemia Vera associated with IgA Nephropathy.
Recently,
We
experienced a Polycythemia Vera associated with IgA Nephropathy and report this case with brief review of literature.
